About Us

We are community organisations in the Evington area of Leicester, in the UK, who know that when people work together they have the power to change their neighbourhoods, cities and, ultimately the country, for the better.

We work with groups who want to transform our area, from what it is to what they believe it should be. To do this we listen to our members, asking them about their concerns and developing strategies to improve our communities. We ensure that our members are heard, so that our communities are included in the decisions that affect them.

Stronger Together

Groups in our area realised that their was a real need to visit the most vulnerable and provide them with fresh food during the pandemic.

We joined together and we made sure that people received weekly fresh fruit, veg and meat.

Community of Grace and One Roof Leicester coordinated the visits whilst GraceWorks Community Garden and Evington Hill Top Allotment joined forces and grew over 150kg of fresh vegetables that went out as part of the donations of food.

This showed the power of community organising. When we listen and act collectively we can make a real difference in our communities.

The Future

As we look to the future we want to grow a strong partnership that can help us all live happy healthy lives within the limits of our planet.
