In March 2020 organisations came together to consider how the climate crisis was affecting us and what steps we could take to address it in our area.
We were fortunate to be joined by our local councillor, Deepak Bajaj, at our climate consultation and it was very positive about people working together to plan for the future.
We followed the climate consultation with some training on One Planet Living, using 10 principles to consider how we can work together to live happy healthy lives within the limits of our planet.
There were lots of great ideas and it has been exciting to see the pop-up cycle lanes and walk-to-school campaign that Leicester City Council has introduced to help people get to work and school on sustainable transport.
We will be continuing both training and action in 2021 and look forward to living happier healthier lives next year.
Horticultural Training
Our IYN Groups will be offering support for people who want to develop their skills around growing and planting. We have bases at both Evington Hill Top Allotments and GraceWorks Community Garden.
Watch out for dates in the new year.
We will be posting information about how to get involved in 2021 once we are out of the current tier restrictions.
